Puja is conducted according to the Bengali calendar, the Days are counted based on the sunrise and the sunset while 'Tithi' depends on the rising and setting of the moon. Sandhi Puja is performed by counting the 'Tithi' or the auspicious time. Sashthi, Saptomi, Astami, Nabami and Dashomi pujas are performed after sunrise even if they fall in the previous evenings.
